Pastor Daniel Wilt
Hey! Welcome to St. Paul's. My name is Pastor Daniel, but you can call me Daniel. I just moved up here in July of 2017. That face there. That's mine. It's an older picture, but its the only picture I actually enjoy of myself that doesn't include 30 other people in it. The other picture is just a more recent one.
I'm excited to be here in Lewisburg. I've lived in small cities, big cities, and most recently, I lived in a farming community. I'm excited to be in a college town. I grew up here in Pennsylvania. Born and raised in Altoona. Went to college at the University of Valley Forge, where I majored in Theological Studies: Philosophy and Religion. Moved to DC to get my Master's of Divinity of Wesley Theological Seminary, during which I became a pastor at St. John's UMC in Chambersburg.
My journey in faith and ministry has always been long, complex, and a battle, but one I am grateful for and love to share. I enjoy the community of believers, especially when we are focused on loving God, loving each other, and loving the world around us. People are one of God's greatest gifts to us, though they can also be one of the most frustrating as well.
I love tea, books, movies, tv shows, hiking, kayaking, hammocks, and a good song. I love the tough conversations that make us think. I enjoy a written letter and writing letters. I even have my own wax seal. I enjoy my friends, family, and people in general. I am passionate about God and how God is at work in and through us.
I'm here for you, and hope you'll come by to check out St. Paul's and get to see our little community that is part of this great place called Lewisburg.
