At St. Paul’s, relationships are the heart of all we do! We believe Jesus has set this example for us to follow, and in relationships we find and experience more fully the love God has for us. So, developing relationship with Jesus is one of our priorities. We have found that as we trust Jesus to lead us and to provide opportunities to witness to tell others about our relationship with Him, there is no shortage of opportunities!
We believe in the “priesthood of all believers” – meaning that each person who loves God and seeks to follow Jesus daily is gifted by God’s Spirit to strengthen both the Church, the Body of Christ, and his/her own relationship with Jesus. Our Witness Ministries include the development of leadership of all ages, including children, youth and adults. In recent years, such ministries have included A Hospitality Workshop and attendance at Leadership Summit (sponsored by the Willow Creek Association).
Through these learning experiences, our understanding of Jesus’ priorities increases, and then we move outward to share compassion and faith with each person we encounter throughout our daily living.
Every year during the Christmas shopping season, downtown Lewisburg businesses stay open later into the evening to allow people more time for their Christmas shopping. It is during this time that we hand out hot chocolate to the shoppers and then we continue this ministry the following day during the Victorian Christmas Parade in downtown Lewisburg.
In addition to these Witness Ministries, we are open to consider developing additional Witness Ministries which will demonstrate our love for Jesus Christ and our expression of this relationship to our neighbors.
