Building Relationships with One Another (Nurture Ministries) |
||||
At St. Paul’s, relationships are the heart of all we do! We believe Jesus has set this example for us to follow, and in relationships we find and experience more fully the love God has for us. So, developing relationships with Jesus and all our brothers and sisters within the church is two of our three priorities. In worship, we gather with one another to focus on God’s amazing presence! In worship, we bring ourselves to God in love and gain learning and encouragement from our time in God’s presence. Our relationships with one another are strengthened as we intentionally spend time with one another in presence, in conversation, and in study. Our Nurture Ministries include:
Various groups gather each Sunday from 10:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. throughout our facility. Age-appropriate classes for children and youth are led by individuals who have a heart for these young people. Teaching and conversations are based in Scripture and integrated into daily living. Several Adult Sunday School classes are also held to bring to life both the love of God for each individual and the value of God’s Word, the Bible, to our daily living. Ongoing and short term studies are available.
Our Sunday morning discussion group is currently studying the book Yes, Lord, I Have Sinned, But I Have Several Excellent Excuses by James W. Moore. The book challenges readers to recognize their sinful actions and grow beyond them.
Our Men's and Women's adult study groups are studying the books of Joshua, Judges and Ruth from the Old Testament.
In addition to these Sunday morning study groups, two additional Bible Studies are held weekly. A Men’s Study Group meets Monday evening at 7:00 p.m. And an adult group meets Thursday morning at 10:30 a.m. Not sure which group would be best for you? Try each one out to find the best fit! Each of these study groups would welcome newcomers at any time!
Throughout the year, various fellowship activities are slated. They include a hayride and bonfire at Ard’s Farm Market, an Advent/Christmas activity such as a provided meal along with Christmas Ornament-making or Advent Wreath-making. Additional activities are planned, so be sure to check out the St. Paul’s calendar on this website!
Weekly, St. Paul’s celebrates two worship services.
A Thursday evening Casual Worship Service is for those preferring a smaller group in a casual setting and for those unable to attend worship on Sunday.
The Traditional Worship Service begins at 9:15 a.m. and includes organ music, congregational singing, traditional forms of liturgy (Psalter, unison prayers, responsive readings, The Apostles’ Creed, The Lord’s Prayer, The Doxology, and The Gloria Patri), a Children’s Chat, Scripture, and a Sermon. Children of all ages are welcome to be present and involved in worship.
Moments of fellowship and refreshment are provided after Sunday worship service in order to develop relationships with one another. In addition, childcare is provided through Sunday morning, for both the worship celebration and the Sunday School hour.
In addition, we are open to consider developing additional Nurture Ministries which will demonstrate our love for one another and strengthen each of us and the church as a whole!
